Becka & Sean’s Mystical Irish Castle Wedding at Belle Isle Estate
Becka and Sean. Where do I even begin! This incredible couple travelled all the way from Illinois, USA, to celebrate their fairytale wedding right here in the heart of County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. From the moment they first got in touch, I knew their day was going to be something truly special.
Their wedding took place at the enchanting Belle Isle Castle. This hidden gem is nestled on the shores of Lough Erne. The entire estate was cloaked in deep red climbing ivy, a perfect, natural nod to the approaching autumn season. It created the dreamiest backdrop for their intimate, heartfelt celebration.
An Outdoor Ceremony on the Shores of Lough Erne
Now, for a September wedding in Fermanagh, you might expect to be tucked inside by a roaring fire. But Becka and Sean embraced the fresh, cool Irish air and opted for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the tranquil lough. The weather held out just for them, with clear skies and that soft, ethereal Irish light you just can’t plan for.
Their loved ones gathered around them in this magical spot, creating such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The bridal party looked incredible, with bridesmaids dressed in dreamy shades of purples, mauves, and pinks. And the groomsmen adding a little local touch in deep green suits. It was a subtle but beautiful nod to their Irish setting.
The Star of the Show — Becka’s Black Wedding Dress
And then there was Becka’s wedding dress… a show-stopping black gown. It was like something plucked straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. It was bold, romantic, and completely hers. Every detail of their day reflected their personalities. From choosing local pastries from Folk Espresso Boulangerie instead of a traditional cake, to their beautifully choreographed first dance that had everyone smiling (and maybe even shedding a tear or two).
A Mystical Elopement to Remember
One of my favourite moments of the day was just after the ceremony, when the golden light filtered through the trees and across the lough. I whisked Becka and Sean away for some quiet moments together, capturing those glances, smiles, and little moments that make a wedding film so personal and special.
Looking back, this wedding was such a joy to be part of. Becka and Sean embraced every inch of the Irish magic around them, making their wedding feel like a modern-day fairytale. It was a real pleasure to capture it all and tell their story.
